But the oxygen equipment is just another safety measure from the whole range of safety devices both group and individual such as duvet clothes, warm shoes, sleeping bags, tents etc. Use of oxy-gen was of major, probably vital importance in the accomplishment of many sports tasks and over-coming of many critical and emergency situations. It was learned in a hard way that a climber trying to summit mount Everest without oxygen has serious chances to die on his way back, which endangers not only his own life but the success of the expedition and lives of his comrades...

New product for the Aerostatic center

POISK has completed its designing works on the new product specially designed
for the Aerostatic center “AUGUR”.
In the first half of the year 2005, NPO POISK has worked up the design documentation
of the “Helium supply system” (HSS).
The device consists of the base, which houses 10 cylinders and the control
board, and the removable load-bearing frame. The control board provides both
the refilling of the cylinders and helium supply into the working tanks. The
removable load-bearing frame secures the attachment of the device to the vehicle.

We were very concerned when we received information from your site stating about
numerous failures of the Summit Oxygen system in The Himalayas.
It is certainly a pity to see the alpinists interrupting their thoroughly prepared
long-awaited ascent. There is no doubt however that the expedition must have
had an experienced leader who managed to keep an emergency situation under control
and make the only right decision.

Unit of oxygen equipment “POISK” was primarily designed as a preventive measure
from hypoxia. It provides compensation for a deficiency in oxygen feeding for
anyone, who found himself under conditions of partial pressure of oxygen.
The main purpose of this device is to protect a human from hypoxia in the
high altitude environment during search-&-rescue parties & ascents at
the elevation up to 9000 meters ASL as well as in minor aircrafts (at the elevation
over 4000), balloons, moto hang-gliders and parashuting at the height of 10
000 metres (for specific assign).
The device consists of 4 main parts: light oxygen-bottle of 3-4L capasity (1),
stopping valve (BSV); reducer (2) with gas flow regulator (5), which provides
possibility for oxygen storage, control & consumption; oxygen mask (3) with
gas flow indicator (4) and bayonet join. In order to control oxygen pressure inside the cylinder sometimes regulator
can be equipped with a manometer, and a cross-shaped junction as a fitting to
several oxygen masks (up to 4).
