Unit of oxygen equipment “POISK” was primarily designed as a preventive measure from hypoxia. It provides compensation for a deficiency in oxygen feeding for anyone, who found himself under conditions of partial pressure of oxygen.

The main purpose of this device is to protect a human from hypoxia in the high altitude environment during search-&-rescue parties & ascents at the elevation up to 9000 meters ASL as well as in minor aircrafts (at the elevation over 4000), balloons, moto hang-gliders and parashuting at the height of 10 000 metres (for specific assign).

The device consists of 4 main parts: light oxygen-bottle of 3-4L capasity (1), stopping valve (BSV); reducer (2) with gas flow regulator (5), which provides possibility for oxygen storage, control & consumption; oxygen mask (3) with gas flow indicator (4) and bayonet join.

In order to control oxygen pressure inside the cylinder sometimes regulator can be equipped with a manometer, and a cross-shaped junction as a fitting to several oxygen masks (up to 4).
